Tunis Air is the national airline of Tunisia. An alliance of the Arab Air Carriers Organization, Tunis

History of Tunis Air:
- Tunis Air was launched in 1948. Initially the airline operated four Dakota obtained from the American army.
- In 1948, in the month of December, the shares of the Tunis Air were distributed among the government of Tunisia, private share holders and Air France.
- In 1949 the board of directors of Tunis Air were selected. Thereafter, Tunis Air started flying aircrafts taken on lease from Air France.
- 1954 was the first financial year during which Tunis Air registered its first profit of 3.2 million francs.
- 1955 marked a special year for Tunis Air, as its passenger count reached 300,000.
- In 1956, Tunis Air bought its second and third DC 4 and subsequently flew them.
Destinations of Tunis Air cover a large number of countries all over the world. In North Africa it has flights to and from Egypt, Morocco, Libya and Algeria. In West Africa the destinations include Mali and Senegal. In Asian destinations are Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Kuwait, Syria and Bahrain. All major European countries that include Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Portugal, United Kingdom, Spain and Switzerland, come under the services of
Tunis Air.
Scheduled flights of Tunis Air serve its major destinations on a regular basis. Charter flights are also provided by
Tunis Air.
