The biggest mountain oasis of Tunisia is Tamerza. The water falls of Tamerza look beautiful in the mountainous area. The oasis area is a place of treat for the travelers. In 1969 Tamerza was deserted by the people because of the flood. It rained for 22 days and the whole city got flooded.
Tamerza Attractions
The two waterfalls are the main attractions of the Tamerza. Tourists can come to visit in winter or spring as these are the best time of the year.
The gorge of Tamerza is also worth watching. Some of the formations of the gorge are very fascinating.
Few marabouts and zawiyyas are still found in the city.
The second waterfall is not far away from the city. There are tourist stalls and cafes close to the waterfalls. The facility of camping is also there.
