Trinidad and Tobago media system comprises of the print and electronic media. The
Trinidad and Tobago TV has various channels catering to the population of
Trinidad and Tobago with their wide range of programs. The
Trinidad and Tobago News and Media has various stations throughout the island.
There is a national broadcasting system owned by the government of Trinidad and Tobago. TV-6 is the national television channel having five channels. The television channels of Trinidad and Tobago's TV-6 are:
- CNC3: This channel is a news channel. It covers news and current affairs. The channel has some eminent journalists dedicated to their work. The most watched programs are The Big Story and CNC 3 News.
- Gayelle the Channel: This channel is just three years old. This channel was aired on 16th February 2004. Gayelle enjoys the viewership of the whole of Trinidad. Gayelle introduced more than 20 television series and brought a new change in the viewership. The different programs are Macajuel Time, Gayelle Movie night and news is shown at 7pm and at night 10pm.
- Caribbean New Media Group
- CCN TV6: This channel is nationally owned and also has a site of its own. The editor of this channel is Alan Geere and Natalie Williams is the head of TV news.
The other entertainment channels are NBN, CVN Caribbean Video Network, CBU Caribbean Broadcast Union and many more. All these channels have actively catered to the literate masses of Trinidad and Tobago.
