At the turn of 19th century, the country of Trinidad and Tobago was declared a British protectorate. The British flew the ‘Grand Union Flag’, Which had the image of the Union Flag on the top left corner and the Armorial Ensigns. With the British invasion coming to an end, Trinidad and Tobago earned their independence on 31st August, 1962.
