The sprawling New York city is one of the most popular cities in the world. The New York Times Square is a famous iconic symbol of the city. Widely known for its animated neon, huge television styled boards, posters, Broadway theaters and cinemas the times square attracts many touring visitors to the location. The Times Square area bustling with life and activities have fascinated millions of eyes in an outside the city for over a century.
The Times tower was constructed in the 1904 by the New York times. Facing the tower was a square known as Longacre square, which was later renamed and called Times Square. The New York Times inaugurated its new headquarters at 1 Times Square with great fire works. This tradition has been carried forward offering a great view of the colorful sparking lights to the crowds on every New Year's Eve. Celebrating this occasion, the first Times Square Ball was lowered from the pole of the roof top in the year 1907. The beautiful ball was designed by Waterford Crystal.
The electrically installed Times Square billboard are hoardings that first put up advertisements in 1917. After 11 years the running electric billboard was first time seen. As the Time Square is an important center for Theaters and cinemas, the billboards are perfectly suited to the place.
