The history of the SeaWorld of Orlando dates back to the year 1964 when four graduates had an idea of setting up an underwater restaurant. But then they decided to make this underwater theme park when the final construction of underwater restaurant became impractical. The SeaWorld, Orlando was then opened in the year 1973 and has undergone many changes with times.
The major attractions at the SeaWorld, Orlando include some specific areas in the park like:
- Shamu's Happy Harbor: This area features the killer whale mascot of the park and has family rides.
- Clydesdale Hamlet: These are the stables of Budweiser Clydesdales and just next to it lies the Hospitality House, where people can learn about the beer-making process.
- Key West at SeaWorld: This Park has dolphins, sea turtles, alligators, stingrays and other aquatic creatures.
- The Waterfront at SeaWorld: This Park has a seaside Mediterranean village and has shops and restaurants, as well as the Sky Tower ride.
- The SeaWorld in Orlando is opened all year round from 9am and has varied closing times.
