Rijksmuseum is the national museum of Netherlands, located in the capital city, Amsterdam. It specializes in the collection of art and historical remains from the Dutch culture of the 17th century. Also, certain remains of the Asiatic exploits of the Dutch are also preserved in the Museum. This is a major focus of tourism in Amsterdam. Nearby are located other museums and hence this place has been famously named the quarter of Museum. Large as the collection of the museum is, there forty five curators, one for each section of the curio collection. All in all there are four hundred men for the all round development and maintenance of the Rijksmuseum.
The public exhibits of the museums are not just put up for the sake of it. The Museum authorities are very much in favor of students and scholars making full use of the museum for the further study and research on the relevant topic.
Reaching Rijksmuseum
Willing visitors may take a trip round the Rijksmuseum any time from ten in the morning till five in the evening. The main entrance of the museum is from the Stadhouderskade 42. Trams are available from the central station. Within the Museum Square of Amsterdam, there are two other very famous museums, the Van Gogh museum and the Stedelijk museum.
