The Tepper School of Business, located at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was founded in the year 1949 by William Larimer Mellon. The school at Carnegie Mellon ranks among the top business schools in the world. Known as Graduate School of Industrial Administration in the beginning, the school was renamed as Tepper School of Business on March 19, 2004, in honor of $55 million donation from David Tepper, a hedge fund manager and an alumnus of the school.
