Stanford Graduate School of Business

Stanford Graduate School of Business, one of the top business schools in the United States was established in the year 1925. Considered as the second wealthiest business school in the nation, Stanford Graduate School of Business operates with an annual budget of $110 million. It also procures the honor of being one of the professional schools of Stanford University, in Stanford, California.

Though it does not offer degrees in specialized areas such as finance or marketing, the school offers a general management MBA degree that has helped to raise its reputation. Another notable feature of the Stanford Graduate School of Business is the Sloan Program, a one-year MS in Management for mid-career executives and a Ph.D. program, which it offers. The school regarded as a leader in management education, has a number of relationships with other leading business schools and offers a number of Executive Education programs jointly with Harvard Business School.

The number of dual degrees offered by the school in collaboration with other schools at Stanford University including Education, Engineering, Law and Medicine and the certificate programs it offers in public management and global management makes it different from other business schools.

The three Nobel Prize winners on the faculty team is yet another outstanding feature of Stanford Graduate School of Business. The team also holds 15 members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and three members of the National Academy of Sciences. Based on an extensive survey in which schools were asked to describe cases, research and course content that address these issues, the U.S. News and World Report raised Stanford Graduate School of Business to the second position from among other business schools in the nation.
