MIT Sloan School of Management

One of the world's leading business schools, the MIT Sloan School of Management is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts in United States after its establishment in 1914. The MIT Sloan School of Management which is one of the five schools located in Cambridge, conducts research and education in finance, entrepreneurship, marketing, strategic management, economics, organizational behavior, operations management, supply chain management, information technology and many other fields. After the master's degree program in management was established in the year 1925, MIT Sloan School of Management included the world's first university-based executive education program - the Sloan Fellows in 1931. MIT Sloan School of Management is a home to many research centers like MIT Entrepreneurship Center, the Financial Engineering Lab, the MIT Center for eBusiness, the System Dynamics Group, the Operations Management Group and the Center for Innovation in Product Development.

The MIT School of Industrial Management was established in 1952 by the Sloan Foundation grant with the aim of educating the ideal manager. As a mark of respect to Sloan, the school was renamed as the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management.

MIT Sloan School of Management offers some specialized degree programs and not an Executive MBA program or a part-time MBA program like other schools. However, it offers an MBA Program. The main degree courses include Leaders for Manufacturing (LFM) program, MIT Sloan Fellows Program in Innovation and Global Leadership, Master's degree in the Management of Technology (MOT), Systems Design and Management program, a joint program run by both the Sloan School and the Engineering Systems Division of MIT, Biomedical Enterprise Program which is a joint partnership program run by the Sloan School and the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
