Faculty of Business and Economics

Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong was formed by the amalgamation of two schools - the school of Business and the School of Economics and Finance. While, the School of Business furnishes the students with the practical tools necessary to become successful business leaders in Hong Kong, greater China and in the region, the School of Economics and Finance provides thorough knowledge of both theoretical and applied aspects of economics.

Faculty of Business and Economics is aimed at becoming the leading international center for the study of economics and business in Asia. It also aims to serve the needs of Hong Kong and Greater China. Though, Faculty of Business and Economics offers a number of business related courses, its MBA degree is rated as one of the finest in the Asia region. It offers an interactive learning environment and provides world-class teaching by experienced teachers.

The program offered in cooperation with Fudan University in Shanghai, is rated as the best cooperative education program in China. The Faculty of Business and Economics offers full-time, part-time and executive modes of MBA program. Apart from this, the school offers specialized degrees in economics and finance, accounting and finance, business and law, and business and computer science and information systems.

With a focus on the people who wish to choose their careers in teaching, research, consulting, and senior management, Faculty of Business and Economics offers their research programs in M.Phil. and Ph. D. in full-time and part-time studies. The choice of specialization for this includes accounting, economics, finance, information systems, management, marketing, and strategy.
