The Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, the graduate business school under the University of Virginia in Charlottesville was founded in 1954. The school chooses case method as its main method of teaching. Harvard and Darden are the only two prominent business schools to use this method. The two-year MBA program offered by the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration is imparted through the case-based teaching methods (Case Study Analysis), which resembles the teaching methods used in many law schools as well as at Harvard Business School. The Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, which is well known for its strength in General Management, has been ranked by many publications as one of the top business schools in the world.
