Carlson School of Management

Founded in 1919 as the University of Minnesota School of Management, Carlson School of Management the business school for undergraduates and graduates at the University of Minnesota, CSOM is located on the West Bank of the University of Minnesota campus. Transforming into a world-class business school, Carlson School of Management tries to ensure that the education provided in the schools meets student's specific career objectives.

The business education at Carlson School of Management is combined with theory and practical classes and has a key role in finding solutions to real-life business challenges. Commenced with 14 faculty members and 88 students, the schools has more than 3,500 students, 12 degree programs, 108 tenure-track faculty, dozens of adjunct faculty and more than 46,000 alumni who work in various reputed organizations worldwide.



Carlson School of Management offers full-time, part-time and executive MBA programs along with undergraduate studies and doctoral programs in Business. Some of the other programs offered at the school include Masters in Human Resource and Industrial Relations (MA-HRIR), Doctoral program in Human Resource and Industrial Relations (PHD - HRIR), Masters in Business Taxation (MBT) and Masters in Accountancy (MACC).

Its various courses have been ranked with top positions. While its Full-time MBA was awarded 23rd in the nation, Part-time MBA received 9th position, Executive MBA bagged 20th rank, its Undergraduate program was awarded 12th in the nation and 7th amongst public universities. Carlson School of Management is also credited with being one of the first two schools providing this major MIT program.
