Togo money is also known as Togo currency. Togo is a member of the Union Economique et Monetaire Ouest- Africaine (UEMOA) and therefore Togo money is denoted by the CFA franc. The Togo currency is known by Communaute Financiere Africaine franc (XOF).
Formerly Togo was a French colony, therefore Togo economy was largely controlled by France. But after independence the Togo currency is tied with the French Euro. Togo money is a part of the French Monetary Area. Therefore the Togo currency issued by the Banque des Etats de /'Afrique de/' Quest or the Central bank of West African States is valid. There are also banks, dealing in money transfer and money exchange. The currency issued by the Banque des Etats de /' Afrique Centrale or in other words bank of central African states are not valid. The banks in Togo are open from Monday to Friday for twelve hours.
