Togo Schools are mostly public schools made by the Government. The Togo Government gives great importance to education thus has made several schools but due to lack of finance the school fees need to be paid by the parents. Apart from the Government Schools, Togo Education is also provided in the private schools, which are best in Lome, the capital of Togo. Togo Schools have two sections primary and secondary. Very few privileged children get the opportunity of going to secondary schools in Togo.
Lome offers the best education is Togo and the best school there, is American International School of Lome. This is a co-educational private school established in 1967. though other Togo Schools follow French curriculum, American International School of Lome follows American curriculum. The subjects included in the syllabus are mathematics, science, language arts, reading, social studies, health, art,physical education, music, and computer science. The medium of instruction is English as well as French. Since French is the official language in Togo, it is taught to children in during their primary education only.
Togo Schools are however out of reach for many children due to financial problems in the family. However 70% of the Togo children get education from the Government Schools.
