Ordina Open




Ordina open, one of the major tournaments and a part of the ATP and the WTA Tour, is held in the city of 's-Hertogenbosch in Netherlands and is one of the most coveted tournaments among the top players of world tennis.
The tournament is played on grass courts usually in the month of June. The draw size of the tournament is 32. It usually has a large sum of prize money and ATP points are also awarded to the winner of each game from the round of 32. The 2007 edition has €353,450 as prize money and the tournament with the winner scheduled to get an amount of €55,820 and 175 ATP points . The tournament in 2007 will be held in the month of June from the 18 th to the 24 th with Marcel Hunze as the Tournament Manager.

The Ordina Open has been a regular event in the tennis calendar of the Netherlands since 1990. The tournament has both singles and doubles fixtures for men and singles fixtures for women. The defending champions of the men's and women's singles are Mario Ancic and Michaella Krajicek respectively. Some of the other players to have won the men's singles are Patrick Rafter, Richard Krajicek while Martina Hingis, Justine Henin, Kim Clijsters and Mary Pierce are among the women players to have lifted the trophy earlier. In the men's doubles category, Martin Damm and Leander Paes are the defending champions. Cyrul Sulk and Damm had also won the competition earlier and so did Paul Haarhuis and Sjeng Schalken have also been champions earlier.

The brilliant display of tennis has always attracted the spectators to the Ordina Open. It is one of the most important tournaments under the ATP and the WTA and is desired by all the tennis players across the world.
