Champions Tennis or the Champions Tennis Series is one of the major ATP or Association of Tennis Professional series of tournaments played at selected venues among players which include a few ATP champions.
The tournament is now known as the Outback Champions Series after the name of its sponsor Outback Steakhouse. The tournament is played in a round-robin format in its first three rounds and each of the events in the tournament has a champion in the last day of the tournament. The Champions Tennis is played for over four days and features eight of the past ATP champions in every event. These players are arranged in two groups of four players each and they have to face all the three players who are there in his group.

The players gain admission in the Champions Series only if they had entered the top five singles ranking at least once or a had been a Grand Slam singles finalist. They can also enter the tournament if they had featured in the Davis Cup and had been in a champion Davis Cup team. On winning the matches, the players are awarded ATP points as well as prize money. The total prize money of the tournament amounts to $142,000 with each event having a share of $50,000. Among the famous players associated with the Champions Tennis are Jim Courier, Pete Sampras, Wayne Ferreira, John McEnroe, Pat Cash, Goran Ivanisevic and others.
