BMW Open




BMW Open played in Munich, Germany is the biggest event in the tennis calendar of the country and engages the top players of the tennis world in battles of fabulous tennis.
The tournament is being held since 1974 and in its 2007 edition the spectators are ready to see the top players lock horns in the outdoor clay courts from the 30 th of April to the 6 th of May. The prize money for which the players are going to compete this year is going to be €353,450. Rudi Berger is the Tournament Director for the 2007 edition of the BMW Open.

The BMW Open is a part of the ATP or Association of Tennis Professionals Tour and has both the singles as well as the doubles sections. Roger Federer, David Nalbandian, Jiri Novak, Thomas Enqvist and Evan Lendl are a few players to have tasted success in the singles section of the tournament and the title is going to be defended in the 2007 edition by last edition's champion Oliver Rochus. The doubles trophy had been lifted by pairs of famous players like James Blake-Mark Merklein, Mark Woodforde-Todd Woodbridge or Wayne Black- Kevin Ullyett. The winner of last year's doubles trophy was Andre Pavel and Alexander Waske.
