This indoor sport is played on different kinds of courts. Junior tennis racquets and standard lawn tennis balls are required for playing squash tennis. The history of the sport dates back to the end of the nineteenth century. The sport evolved in the United States of America during that time. In a little time, the sport spread across the country. People started playing the sport and courts were set up in numerous clubs. Since 1911, the National Squash Tennis Association or the NSTA has been regulating the sport. At present, the squash tennis exists only as a sport played in New York City .
