Tennis Grips are an integral part of learning the game of tennis and are necessary to execute different types of shots like the
forehands , the
backhands and also the services. It is the technique with which a racquet is hold while taking different shots. There are various kinds of tennis grips of which three are mostly used –
the Western, the Eastern and
the Continental . Another grips called the
Semi-Western is also recognized by some tennis critics and players. It is said to be a blend of the Eastern and the Western grips.
Of the different shots used in a tennis match, a forehand can be executed using the Continental grips in which the hitting surface of the racquet should be vertical to the ground and the racquet should be held at the top.
