Masasi is a small town in Tanzania, which has not gained any great significance in the world. Masasi is the capital of Masasi district in Tanzania. It is an underdeveloped place in the African country. Among one of the five districts that make up the Mtwara Region of Tanzania is Masasi.
Though the place itself does not have great importance, it is surrounded by several important places of Tanzania. In the north of Masasi is the Lindi Region, while Newala District falls to the east of Masasi. Ruvama Region is to the west of Masasi and Mozambique is to the south if the city of Masasi.
Masasi is one of the underdeveloped cities of Tanzania and constant efforts are being made to upgrade and develop the city by providing the basic facilities to the inhabitants of the place. Administratively, Masasi is distributed in 34 wards, which include Lipumburu, Chiwata, Lumesule, Maratani, Mbuyuni, Mkundi, Nandete and many more to name.
Masasi is economically weak too. The area has been struck by several natural calamities and the local people are victims of the same. As a result healths of the people in Masasi also suffer a great deal. There are some health care centers in Masasi that have taken up various projects to improve the health conditions of masses.
