Persian is a major
Tajikistan language. Earlier, this language was spoken over an extensive area between India and the Middle East. Today, almost 65% of Tajikistan's total population are Tajik-Persian speakers.
This
language of Tajikistan comes under the group of West Iranian languages. West and East Iranian groups fall under the Iranian group. The Iranian group, in turn, is a part of the Indo-Iranian division under the Indo-European language family. Dari and Tajik, two closely related languages, are the two subdivisions of the Persian language.
Articles and grammatical gender are absent in this
language at Tajikistan. Distinction of number and person is not found in the language. One marker stands for singular number and two markers stand for plural number.
Tajik
There is a total of 4 million Tajik speaking people in the Republic of Tajikistan and other surrounding places of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The Persian of Afghanistan and Iran is closely associated with Tajik of Tajikistan. Tajik is regarded as a major Persian dialect. The Persian vocabulary differs from the Tajik one; Persian has many western European words, while Tajik has many Russian technical, cultural and political terms.
Tajik is a segment of the West Iranian languages. West and East Iranian language groups fall under the Iranian group. It comes under the Indo-Iranian classification of the Indo-European language family.
