Tajikistan Islamic Empire started with the conquest of the Arabs. After the Arabs were displaced by the Eastern Turkic Kaganate in the 8th century, the era which is known as the Islamic Period, started in Tajikistan.
With the emergence of the Arab in the history of Tajikistan, the Tajikistan Islamic Empire came into prominence. During this empire, we can find that there was a mass conversion into Islam. In fact, under the Arabs, conversion to Islam occurred by both hook and crook. It is evident in the Islamic Empire of Tajikistan that people were converted to Islam through incentives, as well as through the force of arms. Gradually, Islam seeped into the very core of the Tajikistan society.
The Persian influence, which has already started during the Pre Islamic Period, became prominent under the Islamic Empire in Tajikistan. Before the Islamic Empire, Tajikistan was under the domain of the multiple cultures; but with the expansion of the Arabic empire, the Persian community settled in Tajikistan.
Moreover, the Samarinds supported the Persian language, which was growing in Tajikistan, since the genesis of the Arabic rule. Later, in the 10th century, Turkish people began to spread their roots in Tajikistan.
Over the years of their domain in Tajikistan, the Turks transformed drastically: they changed from pastoral nomads, and adopted a sedentary way of life. The transformation of the Turks, as the Islamic Empire at Tajikistan suggests, brought them closer to the sedentary Persian speakers. This intermingling of the Turkish culture with the Persian culture paved the way for the formation of a better and an even richer culture in the territory of Tajikistan.
