China National Anthem incorporates the spirit of nationalism among the people of China. It is basically meant for making a strong bond between the Chinese people. In true sense the China National Anthem enhances the fellow-feeling among the citizen of this country.
The main theme of this hymn is centered on the vision and hopes that a new nation and its people should achieve. Informally, the song is also known to be "San Min Chu-i" or "Three Principles of the People" for its opening line, but this is never used in formal events.
The primary aim of China National Anthem is to collaborate between the members of Kuomintang. On 16th July, 1924, the text of the anthem was debuted at the opening ceremony of the Whampoa Military Academy by Sun Yat-sen's opening speech.
But after the success of the Northern Expedition, the Kuomintang chose the text to be its party anthem. On 24th March, 1930, numerous Kuomintang members proposed to use Sun's speech as the lyrics to the national anthem.
Later on a National Anthem Editing and Research Committee had been established to endorse the KMT party song because there raise an opposition over using a symbol of a political party to represent the entire nation.
On 3rd June, 1937, the Central Standing Committee approved this proposal and with their initiative in1943, the "Three Principles of the People" officially became the national anthem of the Republic of China.
In 1932 this song was composed by Nieh Erh and the lyrics of this national anthem are given by Tian Han. China National Anthem is poetic as well as classical and is highly respected by the people of China.
