Taiwan Education has experienced high growth over the past decades. This growth has resulted due to availability of human resources, prosperity in the field of social economics and also due to a good education policy. The private institutions in Taiwan have gained a reputation of its own among the students. The reputation of the private institutions in Taiwan depends on its own achievements.
In Taiwan, the economy and education grew at a same speed in the past fifty years. This growth has resulted due to the different resources of the government in promoting Taiwan Education. In the past, most of the universities in Taiwan were national universities. Private institutions in Taiwan began to grow in the last ten to fifteen years. The private universities also have a good number of student's strength in them. Thus, both national as well as private educational institutions have experienced tremendous growth and expansion over the years.
According to a report published by the Education Ministry of Taiwan in the year 2000, Taiwan has 127 colleges and universities. While in 1999 the number of colleges and universities were 105.There has been a significant increase in the number of public and private educational institutions.
According to the Ministry of Education report there about 74 colleges and private institutions in all over Taiwan. The number of Junior colleges has also reduced in recent years. Most of the junior colleges have been transformed into colleges. Only 23 junior colleges are left in all over Taiwan according to a survey conducted in the year 2000.
Taiwan Education offers various courses to all its students from home as well as students from abroad.
