Even before twenty years there was no glory or specialty in Christmas celebration of Taiwan, as majority of Taiwan people were non-Christians, but later as time passed by, many Taiwan people has turned into Christianity. Thus at present time Christmas has become one of the most enjoyable event of celebration in Taiwan.
In Christmas people make cakes, delicate cuisines, wear fine clothes and have parties, thus it becomes a occasion for all be a Christian or not. In Taiwan also people who are Christian they celebrates Christmas with friends and families. Among these friends, many are non-Christians but they get equally attracted to this festivals, that inspires them to take equally part in Christmas festivals of Taiwan, thus it has spread allover the areas by now.
During Christmas in Taiwan, people sets out for shopping, and gathers in food-marts and restaurants, thus the merchant of various business receives handsome revenue during this time. So, considering the commercial aspects of Christmas in Taiwan it has been treated as an important festival of the locality in these days.
Thus it is easily understood that Taiwan Christmas is not a traditional or mandatory occasion that has to be celebrated or given so much importance, rather this is an occasion of convenience.
