Taiwan Independence is a political movement to achieve an independent and sovereign Republic of Taiwan out of the administration of Republic of China.
The movement enjoys full support of Pan Green coalition in Taiwan and opposed to different degrees by the Pan Blue Coalition who are the supporters of Chinese reunification in Taiwan and The People's Republic of china that favor Chinese reunification. The formal declaration of this independence can lead to military confrontation not only with China but also drag in USA and Japan.
Some think that spitting these two nations will be like separating one nation and their people. Another view is held that Taiwan is already an independent state with a different name of Republic of China since the end of The Chinese civil War in 1949. The third view considers the movement for Taiwan independence as a nationalist movement. Domestically this issue of independence has dominated Taiwanese politics for past few decades. This also gave a grave issue to mainland China. Internationally this movement is famous because a formal declaration of independence have been one of the five conditions the People's republic of China has stated under which it will take military action against Taiwan to forcibly bring upon reunification.
However presently the daring movement not only aims at Taiwan Independence but also have undertaken the task of improving people's livelihood, build national consciousness, economy, education and push for a new and renovated constitution so that Taiwan can become a Nation in its true self.
