Davos is situated in Graubunden in Switzerland. Davos lies on the bank of River Landwasser. Davos is situated at a height of 1560 meters. Davos is known for its freshness and consistent snow cover. Davos has been approved by the Switzerland's Snowboarding Cognoscenti as a skiing spot . Davos attracts skiers from all over the world.

The awesome combination of sunshine and high altitude has made Davos a spot recognised more often as a health resort. The scenic combination of lake Davos and the mountain gives Davos the status of a “Dream Town”.

Davos along with its natural fame has connections even in literary field as it can boast of being the home town of the famous writer Robert Louis Stevenson. It was here in Davos that the famous literary piece “Treasure Island” was written. The famous book “ The Magic Mountain” was written by Thomas Mann, who got the inspiration of writing such a piece from this mystic place, Davos. Arthur Conan Doyle also dedicated an article to the beauty of this place.

Davos in Switzerland is more famous as winter-sports destination. During summer when the ice melts all over the beautiful sceneries of the place is revealed and Davos takes a new turn in revealing the greenery as is not possible during the snowy winter.

Davos is also famous as the host to the “World Economic Forum”. The annual meeting which revolves around the global politics of the world is simply referred to as “DAVOS”, as Davos leads the meeting as being the host.
