Stockholm Arlanda

Stockholm Arlanda is the primary Airport of Stockholm, Sweden and hub of Scandinavian airlines. It is the international airport of Stockholm situated around 42 kilometers north to city center by road.

The Stockholm Arlanda airport is situated in the territory of w the province of Upland in Stockholm. It is an important landmark of Sweden for it is the largest airport of the country. Another significance of Stockholm airport is it is one of the most important hubs of Scandinavian Airport, among other three hubs of the same, and according to recent research it is proved that Stockholm Arlanda carries maximum number of passengers in entire Sweden, which nearly crosses 17.5 million passengers.

The official opening of Stockholm Arlanda airport occurred in 1962, though it started flying practice flight a few years back. The name Arlanda has been derived from the township of Stockholm named 'Arlinghundra'. 'Arland' has been taken from the parish's name and later the 'landa' has been added to the end of it to make it sound typical Swedish.
