Kristinehamn is a prominent town as well the seat of local municipality, situated in Värmland province in western Sweden. It is one of the 290 Swedish municipalities, formed in 1971 with the amalgamation of the former City of
Kristinehamn and parts of two dissolved rustic municipalities of Väse and Visnum.
