Suriname is a South American country. Officially it is known as Republic of Suriname. Initially Suriname was known as Netherlands Guiana or Dutch Guiana. Suriname lies on the west of Guyana, east of French Guiana and south of Brazil. It is nearly one tenth times larger in size than Michigan. The capital of Surinam is Paramaribo.
