The capital of Suriname, Paramaribo is one of the largest cities of the country. The republic is located in the north eastern coast of South America and has a population of around 250000. Along with being the capital of Suriname, Paramaribo is also the main port. This status give Paramaribo an importance and significance that surpasses that of all the other cities in Suriname.

Accommodations in Paramaribo are up to the mark and reasonable. Paramaribo has an active nightlife and modernized entertainment provisions. There are a number of nightclubs and restaurants. The newest club is Starzz which has three dance floors and is located near the Torarica Hotel.
