The main National Parks in Spain include:
- Doñana National Park in Spain: Located at the mouth of the river Guadalquivir in the province of Seville and Huelva. Situated on 50, 720 hectares (approx) of land and includes Marsh, or wetlands; the coastal dunes; and the Atlantic beaches. These ecosystems with the warm climate of the place make it the ideal winter retreat for migrating birds from South Africa.
- Maritimo-Terrestre National Park: Located on an area of 1,836 hectares in Cabrera Archipelago which is the largest non-populated island in the Mediterranean.
- Aigües Tortes and Lago de Sant Maurici National Park: Isolated in the Lleida Pyrenees and surrounded by mountain peaks,this National Park in Spain covers a surface area of 10,230 hectares. It has a number of cascades, waterfalls and high mountain lakes.
- Tablas de Daimiel National Park: Located in a region called "La Mancha Humeda" formed of large number of wet lands which is a home to around 200 different species of bird.
- Ordesa National Park: Located in the Huesca Pyrenees and have a number of perfectly preserved enclaves.
- Caldera de Taburiente National Park: This National Park in Spain located in the island of La Palma. Constants erosion has resulted in the formation of a giant Caldera.
- Garajonay National Park : Located in the island of Gomera it has one of the very few remaining laurisylvan forests
