Natural Parks In Spain

Natural parks in Spain are the reserved area and are restricted from any human activities that leads to pollution and development. There are many natural parks in Spain . The natural parks in Spain are of major interest to tourists who takes avid interest in natural life , be it plant or animal. Natural parks in Spain are places which are of great interest in scientific and ecological fields. Natural parks in Spain are like the store house of rare species of flora and fauna . In the natural parks of Spain one can also come across many species of animal which are getting rare and extinct with days.

In the natural Parks in Spain one can find varieties of Eagles, Vultures, Cats, Boars, Goats, badger ...... The fauna here in Sierras comprises of varieties of o aks and pines and flowers. Ocean Pine, Black Juniper, Corsican Pine, Gall Oak, Cork Oak, Holm Oak are some of them. In this national Park, one can also indulge themselves in adventurous activities like Caving (speleology), mountain climbing and biking, para gliding, bird watching. and hiking and botanical excursions ..

One can find many natural park s in the province of Granada in Spain . There are five natural parks in Granada.

  • Sierras de Alhama, Tejeda and Almijara National Park : this natural park in Spain spreads over an area of 40,663 hectares. This Natural Park is located between Granada and Malaga .
  • Sierra De Castril Natural Park : this natural park in Granada, Spain covers an area of 12,215 hectares.
  • Sierra De Baza Natural Park : this natural park is located on an altitude of more than 2,000 meters and an area of 52,337 sq. km. Is under the boundary of this natural park.
  • Sierra Nevada Natural Park : this natural park in Spain spreads over an area between the Alpujarra and Marquesado and is located at a height of more than 3000 meters and some very rare species of flowers are find here. Those flower species are found only in this region and are not found anywhere else in the world.
  • Sierra de Huetor Natural Park : this natural park spreads over an area of 12,428 hectares and is situated at an altitude of 1000 to 1700 meters above sea-level.

Other Natural Parks in Spain are found in the Huelva, Andalucia, Malaga, Almeria, Tenerife and on the Balearic Islands.
