Museums in Spain

The museums in Spain are famous for their unique collection and work of some famous artists. There are many types of museums in Spain . Some museums preserve the archaeology of the country. Some are credited with conserving the historical facts of the country. There are some museums which have collections of some specific artists.

The Prado museum of Barcelona is famous for its collection of quality and variety. The great works of Rubens, Titian, Goya, El Greco, Ribera and Murillo can be found here. It is said that the wife of Ferdinand VII, was the encouragement for the establishment of the museum. Statue of the lady has been made by Alvarez Cubero. It was opened as a royal museum in 1819.

Some collection from the Museum of La Trinidad has kept here. It is said that this museum was established for preserving the art which got destroyed massacre of the monastries.There were some donations and adoptions which increased the collection of the museum.

The Spanish paintings of the 11 th and 18 th century are displayed in the Villanueva building of the Prado.There are Romanesque and Santa Cruz paintings. There are collections of work by El Greco and Velazquez . Canvass work by Goya is also one of the main features of the museum.

The work of the Flemish schools is the main part of the museum . The Three Graces by Rubens has added to the gravity of the museum . There are other 600 variety paintings from Italian painters

The Wine Museum of Malaga has some exotic collection of wines. The walls of Malaga museum have a collection of 200 bottled wines from some of the fine Malaga wineries. Sherry, whiskey and brandy are also displayed.

The museums in Spain are world famous.
