In Spain the church services play a dominant role. Spain is famous for some beautiful churches. The Spanish Reform Episcopal Church was cruelly oppressed in the Franco era. From the late 1930s till the 1970s all the non Catholic Church property was zapped. All the church services were labeled illegal. Most of the priests were threatened and killed.
After Franco's death the Spanish reform church restored some of its property and tried to regain some of the prestige which it had earlier gained.
