Aragon is an autonomous Spanish community consisting of three provinces, covering an area of 18,424.4 square miles. The estimated population is 1,277,471.
As the Aragon political map shows, the community is situated in the north-east of Spain. Within Spain, the community is bordered by Catalonia on the east, Valencia and Castile-La Mancha to the south, and Castile and Leon, La Rioja, and Navarre to the west.

The three provinces of Aragon - Huesca, Zaragoza, and Teruel are clearly represented in the map. Zaragoza, the capital city along with other major cities are also shown in the map. Major rivers, airports, highways, road-routes, railway networks, and international boundaries are also highlighted in the political map of Aragon.

Aragon has a parliament elected by the people, known as Cortes Generales. The President is the head of government chosen by the Parliament for a period of four years. The current president is Luisa Fernanda Rudi.

Aragon is well-known in the world for its permanent glaciers, verdant valleys, rich pastures and orchards.
