Camp Humphreys Korea is an important
United States Army base which is located near Anjung-Ri, adjoining to the Pyeongtaek resident area also called the Gyeonggi-do province in
South Korea.
Camp Humphreys Korea is still referred by its Korean War period name,
K-6. Located 55 miles South of Seoul, it is one of the
U.S. Army's fastest developing base camps. Desiderio Army Airfield is one of the busiest overseas airfields with over 60,000 movements annually houses "The Hump" as it is commonly known to the Koreans. In addition to an Army airfield, there are
US Army, transportation, technical units with about 9,500 military personnel and almost 1000 family members.
The camp covers an area about one mile wide and two miles long. A variety of fast-food restaurants, updated gyms, the residential lodge, family restaurants, community swimming pool, several shopping complexes and a bowling alley ornament the entire base camp with a complete residing facilities.
Camp Humphreys Korea comprises of the
Eighth United States Army military jail in
South Korea which arrests soldiers for the least an year before they are voyaged off to a distant prison in the United States. The camp do not experience any external supervision although the
United States Eighth Army is the rearing unit. A few of the many units on the base are the following:

- 532nd Military Intelligence Battalion
- 527th Military Intelligence Battalion
- 501st Signal Company
- 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade (Second Infantry Division)
- 52nd Ordnance Company.

Camp Humphreys Korea is on its way to become the main
U.S. Army installation in
South Korea with enhancement of installation size by three folds in the coming years.
