The uneven settlement of Bolivia Population was a result of the geography of the country. Due to the mild climate and favorable growing conditions population concentrated around the Lake Titicaca. Wherever water was found along the Desguadero river proved to be a place quite preferred by the people. Population is also dense near Lake Poopo. In the northern part of the Cordillera Occidental small settlements can be found. Semi nomadic shepherds inhabit the semiarid plateau in the south.
The population growth rate is 1.96%. The Population in Bolivia is divided into three parts according to the age structure. Age 0-14 years:39%, 15-64 years:56%, 65 years and above:55. The birth rate is 30.72 births/1,000population while the death rate is 9.61 deaths/1,000population. The fertility rate is 3.93 children born/woman.
Though Spanish is the official language native languages are spoken by people. Quechua is spoken by 34% people and 25% speak Aymara. 83.1% of the population is literate among which 90.5% are male and 76% are female. Population of Bolivia (95%) are mainly Catholic but 1% of the people is protestant.
Bolivia Population is facing a problem because of the high growth rate as the country is unable to provide all the facilities to such a huge population.
