Mossel BaySouth Africa is an attractive coastal village located just between the Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Mossel Bay in South Africa is a famous tourist destination and every year large number of tourist flock to the place in summer and winter.

Mossel BaySouth Africa is also the historical capital of Garden route. There are a number of pleasure boats and the tourist can book them before hand. Presently this town has become the export anchorage for ostrich feathers, wool and ochre. The town has remains of some of the historical buildings which throw light on its past.

There is a story behind the name of the place. Mussels were very famous and liked by the crew of the Dutch navigator, Paulus van Caerden. So he named the place Mossel Bay.
