Slovenia Natural Attractions

Slovenia Natural Attractions offer a a myriad choices for a country of its size. Whether it is the karstic lakes and cave systems of Postojna, the forests of Kocevje region, the waterfalls of Savica or even the ones inside the caves like Skocjan Caves all are fantastic and provide a glimpse of the geo- topological variety among the natural attractions of Slovenia. Even Man has worked hand in hand with Nature creating extraordinary places like the Lipica stud farm. The Tolminka Chutes, the Slovenian mountain and Zadlascica River all are phenomenally beautiful in their own right.

Among the above natural attractions in Slovenia are the Skocjan Caves are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the river eroded caves and subterranean flowing water almost make it a fairy grotto. The same can be said of the Postojna caves, which already have the continuing myth of the friendly, little dragon Jami, the most prominent of Slovene natural attractions.

The waterfalls of Savica and other rivers, make for a magnificent backdrop to the country and its florishing flora and fauna in the extensive forests, grasslands, orchards, gardens and vineyards. The tinkle and gurgle of the flowing water look so pristine in their milky strands that it makes up for the grand thunders of the tropical cataracts. The coastal shoreline is also offers interesting wildlife and serious water sport activities.
