The
maritime travel ports of Slovenia are located at Izola, Koper and Piran. The docks at these places permit the entry of foreign ships. On entry into the ports, there are some formalities that need to be carried out. The Slovenian authorities on the arrival of a foreign vessel registers all the necessary information regarding the crew on board, the passengers on board as well as the vessel itself.
Slovenia maritime travel rules require that the registration that is mandatory on crossing the international border of Slovenia need to be supported by certain crucial documents. These documents include:
- Proof of identity of the passengers traveling in the vessel
- Documents proving the possession of the ship
- Documents legally permitting the use of the vessel
- The proof of qualification of the captain to run the vessel
All these supporting documents should be original.
