Higher education in Slovenia is accorded prime importance for the intellectual and professional development of the people of Slovenia. Slovenian Higher Education is under the purview of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. Higher Education Act enacted by the Slovenian government govern the higher education system in Slovenia. Doktorat Znanosti, Specializacija and Magisterij are the degrees received on completion of postgraduate education.
Admission to higher education in Slovenia require the fulfillment of certain conditions, like the qualifying certificate of secondary school.
