international relations of Slovakia have been more or less congenial and pleasant, with disputes occurring rarely.

Slovakia is a member of the European Union or the
EU, and has taken active part in various military operations, and also some peace keeping operations on its behalf. It is also a member of the United Nations or the
UN, and takes part in many of the specialized agencies of the
UN. Slovakia also has a number of
embassies, consulates and high commissions in different countries that take care of
diplomatic relations. Trade relations with foreign countries are also congenial, and the
international relations of Slovakia are basically friendly and cooperative.
