Park City Mountain Resort


The Park City Mountain Resort is an important and famous ski resort in the United States of America .

This resort is located at Park City in Utah , 37 miles away from the Salt Lake International Airport. The ski resort is considered to be a major source of employment for many in the Park City . Many training courses for the US Ski team like the slalom and the giant slalom runs are held here. Apart from this, the Park City Mountain Resort was also the venue of men's and women's alpine giant slalom events in the 2002 Winter Olympic Games .

The Park City Mountain Resort encompasses ski slopes, which suits all types of skiers. The trails, slopes and vast snow covered mountains are really challenging to the skiers. The highest point of the resort is 10,000 feet high, while the base lies at 6900 feet above sea level. At the ski resort , skiers can actually feel the vertical drop of 3100 feet. A total of 16 lifts serving the ski area include two high speed quads, six triple chair lifts, four double chair lifts, and four high speed six packs. The ski lifts have the capacity of carrying 28,400 people to the upper parts of mountain every hour.

The Park City Mountain Resort attracts huge number of visitors from different parts of the world across the season. There are several hotels, restaurants, shops, bars and cafeterias, which provide the visitors with refreshment at affordable price.
