The highest peak of Telluride Ski Resort has a summit elevation of about 12,255 feet, with a vertical drop of 3,530 feet. 1,700 acres of area is dedicated to skiing. There are in total 84 ski tracks catering to skiers of all levels. The runs are served by adequate lift systems. The lifts here not only serve the purpose of transferring skiers to the summit but it also plays an active role in connecting the historic town of Telluride to Nouveau mountain Village. The gondola received the Mountain Sports and Living Design Award for Resort Access Innovation in 1998.
