Hesperus

Hesperus is a major ski resort in the United States of America located towards the west of the town of Hesperus in the province of Colorado.

The ski resort provides excellent snow conditions and has an answer to almost all the necessities faced during skiing. The resort was opened in 1962 and has been attracting a large number of skiers since then. It is situated at a height of 8,100 feet above the sea level at its base. However, the summit reaches an elevation of 8,880 feet, giving the resort a vertical drop of 700 feet.

The Hesperus Ski Resort has 80 acres of ski area. These are marked with colors to differentiate between easy, difficult, more difficult or expert trails. The ski resort is a major venue for Alpine skiing. However, cross country trails are not performed in the resort. Instead, there are provisions for snowboarding as well as snow tubing. There are scopes for hiring the skis and equipments. A terrain park is also there for the enjoyment of the skiers.

The Hesperus Ski Resort has several hotels, apartments and chalets which provide cozy accommodations. These make the Hesperus Ski Resort one of the most visited ski resorts of the country.
