Buttermilk

Buttermilk is a small yet renowned ski resort in the Aspen-Snowmass region. The resort has carved a niche for itself by taking care of two special things.

First, the resort has abundant scopes for snowboarders with excellent terrains, second there are more facilities for beginner skiers. Apart from these, there are various events and programs all throughout the year that attract numerous tourists to the ski resort.

Location of Buttermilk ski resort is convenient. The resort is just outside Aspen , in Western Colorado . Various direct modes of conveyances are available to the ski resort from various parts of Colorado and also from United States .

Buttermilk ski resort is a wonderful place, specially for beginner skiers. Skiing in the resort provides immense pleasure to skiers. Skiable area in the resort is about 420 acres distributed over 41 runs. The longest run measures 15,840 feet. While the vertical drop in the resort is 2,030 feet, the summit elevation reaches 9,900 feet. There are some slopes for intermediate and expert skiers too. Seven ski lifts operate in Buttermilk for carrying skiers to the main ski area. Ski season in the resort spans from December to April.

Abundant accommodation facilities are not available in Buttermilk ski resort . But there are comfortable and affordable lodging facilities in close vicinity to the resort. Other additional facilities provided by the ski resort include two restaurants, ski rental shops, ski and snowboarding lessons, cafeterias, discos and bars.
