Sitzmark has a small privately-owned ski area on the northeast of Tonasket in the Washington region.
Sitzmark ski area has 19 trails that are served by two lifts and cover a ski area of 80 acres. Most of the trails are ideal for intermediate skiers. However, there are thrills enough for the beginners and the expert skiers. Sitzmark provides a cross-country trail of 22 km. The access to the slopes is easy and the gentle and woody slopes guarantee great skiing pleasures to skiers of all levels. Snowboarding is permitted.
Usually, the season in Sitzmark ranges from mid-December to March. However, unpredictable snow conditions can cause a change in the schedule at times. Sitzmark ski area is a small retreat close to the city, so there are not many hotels and lodges. But it has a well-equipped day lodge, which provides lunch, wash-rooms and all other necessary amenities.
The best way to reach Sitzmark is to get to the town of Havillah and then follow the road-signs to get to the resort.
