Massanutten Ski Resort is situated towards the windy top of the Massanutten Mountain in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
The ski resort at Massanutten is not a very big resort. However, it is annually visited by a large number of persons. The whole resort has 70 acres of area marked for skiing. There are 14 ski trails which are served by seven ski lifts. The longest ski run of the resort is of 4,100 feet. The resort receives only 56 inches of snow annually. However, the ski resort has a large number of snow making machines to nullify this disadvantage. The ski trails are marked with colors to separate the routes of the beginner, intermediate and advance skiers. The resort supports night skiing. However, it is not the place for those who love cross country skiing.
The Massanutten Ski Resort has a number of hotels, apartments and other places which offer comfortable accommodation facilities. These facilities, along with excellent skiing conditions offered, are attracting more and more tourists to the Massanutten Ski Resort every year.
